HEDGEHOGS were released into the grounds of Myddelton College.
Years four, five and six at Myddelton Preparatory School released six spiky friends into the grounds.
They were assisted by Hedgehog Help Prestatyn, run by Tracy Pierce.
Hedgehog Help provides care and treatment for hedgehogs found unwell, injured or underweight.
Katie Gresley-Jones, head of prep School, said: "They reintroduce healthy hedgehogs safely into the wild. "Four members of Year Six - Brooke Lea, Monty Pearce-Whitby, Janet Swanzy-Mensah and Genevive Smith - set up a business to raise money for this worthy cause. They used drift wood and wood found in the grounds of the school to make candle holders and key rings.
"The money raised was donated to Hedgehog Help Prestatyn.
"We hope that Myddelton College can become a safe haven for many more hedgehogs in the future."
