PRESTATYN High School students will be set for success in the workplace after receiving employability sessions from Principality Building Society.

The sessions, organised by Careers Wales, saw colleagues from Principality’s Prestatyn branch teach 400 students about life in the work place.

Students learnt team building exercises and how to present themselves at work, whilst also getting a glimpse into what it’s like to work in the financial services industry.

Debbie Luke, branch manager of Principality Building Society, said: “We were delighted to be involved in the careers building sessions at Prestatyn High School.

"The students were engaged, enthusiastic and a real joy to teach.

"We’re committed to supporting our hard working schools in preparing students for adult life and the workplace.

"Hopefully we have seen future Principality colleagues.”

Andy Hall, assistant headteacher at Prestatyn High School said: “The students thoroughly enjoyed the careers sessions delivered by Principality.

"As well as learning valuable employability skills, the students got a glimpse of what it’s like to work in the financial services industry.

"Sessions like these are incredibly worthwhile to the students and no doubt they will take these learnings and apply them in the future.”

In 2019, Principality was named as Responsible Business Awards – volunteering impact category winner for its long-term support to schools across Wales.
