A TALENTED youngster will make his mark on the international stage.

Clwyd county youth darts player Bradley Roberts will be the North Wales representative at the BDO boys Masters finals.

The talented 15-year-old from Denbigh registered three victories at the Towyn regional qualifier, which included three current youth internationals in the draw.

He chalked up 3-0 and 3-1 results before dispatching England youth international George Lynch 3-0 to book his place in the finals draw in London.

A spot of deadly doubling was the latest action in the Denbigh and District summer darts league as the preliminary stages of the men's and ladies' doubles got underway.

In the ladies' section played at the Cons Club, the competition was played down to the finalists, with regular stage dwellers Claire Davies and Karen Coates booking their place in the October 25 final after winning their section.

They will clash with Golden Lion teammates Lois Gaze and Tyisha Crofts, who defeated the experienced pairing of Hayley Turley and Cynthia Webster in the board final.

In the men's section, the competition was played across four venues with a semi-finalist coming from each quarter.

At the Railway, Dave Davies and Glyn Lloyd advanced and they will play Sion Watsham and Deian Roberts, of the Wings club, who were victors at the Masons' section.

Dave Cooke and Huw Watson, of the Wings, defeated Kinmel Arms duo Laurence Barnett and Pete Tattum in the Golden Lion board final to book a semi-final date with three-time champions Steve Gierke and Adie Thomas, who defeated winter champions Dylan Anderson and Pryderi Rowlands in the Wings club board final.
