IT'S darting glory for the Wingmen.

They are the Denbigh and District Summer Darts League champions.

The Wingmen finished on the same points as Railway A, but a better game difference gave them the crown.

A week earlier and Wings A and the Wingmen were joint top of the top tier as they clashed in the penultimate match of the season.

It was reigning champions the Wingmen who came out on top, with veteran slinger Danny Tinney securing seven points for his side in the last game of the night.

He took on the in-form Sion Watsham, with the Gwynedd county player missing three darts at double to secure a draw, as Tinney proceeded to take out a neat 96 two-dart finish for the Wingmen to take a 5-3 result and condemn Huw Watson's side to a first defeat.

Railway A joined the Wingmen at the top of the standings after a 7-1 victory over Wings B.

Dave Davies grabbed a sublime 13-dart leg and a 180 in his victory, whilst Wings B thrower Leesa Wills checked out an impressive 104 checkout.

Elsewhere in the A-Division, Masons A came out on top in the derby game versus Masons B, with Glyn Lloyd grabbing a 17-darter and Robin Jones firing in a 112 out.

Golden Lion A chalked up a first win of the season as they walloped Kinmel Arms A 7-1.

Heading into the final week, White Lion A were two points ahead of Railway B in the B-league with one game remaining, after both sides fell to surprise defeats.

White Lion A were toppled 5-3 at the Hand Inn and Railway B were unable to take advantage as they slumped to a 5-3 reverse at Cons B.

Neville Hughes pocketed a 180 as White Lion B thrashed Cons A 7-1, while the Llindir Inn grabbed a 5-3 result at the expense of Kinmel Arms B.
