PARENTS whose children begin secondary school next September have just three weeks left to apply for their place.
Denbighshire County Council’s (DCC) secondary education application process offers the chance to submit their child’s preference for an English, Welsh medium or faith-based education.
The application form must be completed by a legal parent, carer or guardian of the child, and if there is shared parental responsibility then both parents must agree to the preferences.
Parents are advised to consider that free school transport is normally only provided to the nearest suitable school if it is more than three miles from their home address.
The application deadline is November 8. The outcome will be confirmed on March 2.
Parents of children set to start nursery, Reception or junior school can also apply for their place before the relevant deadlines. For more information visit the DCC website at www.denbighshire.gov.uk/en/resident/education/school-admissions/school-admissions.aspx
