A POPULAR event has demonstrated just how much talent there is around in the Dee Valley.

For the second year running, Ysgol Bryn Collen proudly presented the Llangollen band night.

This took place in Llangollen Town Hall on Friday, October 18.

Parents, friends, staff and members of the community turned out to dance the night away to three hugely talented local acts.

These were Alfie Thomas, The Cazales and Marblehead Johnson.

All of the acts generously performed free of charge to help maximise the fundraising success.

Organisers were grateful to sponsors The Three Eagles, Fouzis and SG Estates, in addition to Llangollen Town Hall for hosting the event.

Llangollen band night made a record-breaking £3,500 profit, all of which will go to Ysgol Bryn Collen to fund new resources and activities for the children.

Headteacher Lisa Howden said: "It was fantastic to see the whole community having a brilliant night supporting our school and our thanks go out to everyone who helped create a memorable night for all."

Ysgol Bryn Collen has received so much positive feedback from the event.

There are already plans in place to host another band night in 2020.
