RESIDENTS are being encouraged to sign up for a popular festive fun run.

Mold's Santa Dash will take place on Sunday, December 8, from 10.30am onwards.

A spokesman for Mold Town Council said: "Mold's annual Santa Dash now in it's fifth year is a 1.4 mile circular route around the town, suitable for all ages and all abilities.

"It's always a fantastic fun morning, so why not come along and join in the fun?

"You can run or walk the route, do it on your own or why not encourage family, friends, work mates [or a] club to join with you?

"The Great Santa Warm Up, led by Emma Knox-Jones from Elite Fitness Studio, starts at 10.30am on Daniel Owen Square and even if you're not taking part, this is a festive sight to see with over 400 Santas dancing around to Christmas jingles."

The race starts from Earl Road at 11am.

Participation requires an entry fee of £10 per person (12 years and over) which includes a Santa Suit (adult size, one size only).

Children under 12 years are free to enter (no suit provided) but must complete an entry form.

Everyone taking part, including children, needs to be registered and will be issued with a race number.

All proceeds from the entrance fee will go to the Mayor of Mold's fundraising appeal.

Those interested in taking part re reminded that no dogs are allowed in the race, with exception of sight assistance dogs.

To request an entry form, email events@moldtowncouncil.org.uk or telephone: 01352 758532
