ARFON and Dwyfor Meirionnydd residents are being urged to register to vote ahead of the forthcoming General Election.
To cast a vote on Thursday, December 12, residents need to have registered by 11.59pm, on Tuesday, November 26. Those already on the Electoral Register will not need to re-register. To check if you’re on the register contact Gwynedd Council’s elections service (details below). The closing date for a postal vote is 5pm, Tuesday, November 26 and for proxy votes the deadline is 5pm, Wednesday, December 4.
Dilwyn Williams, Acting Returning Officer for Gwynedd Council, said: “With the closing date for registering to vote on November 26 we’re urging everyone who’s eligible to vote in Gwynedd to ensure they are registered."
