AN illuminating occasion has put people in Denbigh in the festive spirit.
Christmas came to the town on Friday with the annual lights switch-on event.
During the day, producers got the sights and smells of Christmas underway with locally produced mulled wine, gin and cakes available to sample.
Various school choirs were in attendance during daylight hours to entertain the crowds, while there were also crafts stalls, entertainment - including a magician - community group performances fairground rides and a Santa’s Grotto.
After the sun set, the community enjoyed the hugely popular Christmas lights switch-on, attended by town representatives, including mayor Gaynor Wood-Tickle.
