TRUCKS of fun was on offer for folk in Ruthin after the sun went down on Saturday... in aid of a worthy cause.

The Christmas lights switch-on was once again supported by the Convoy of

Lights.

This was organised by Phil Hazel and fellow members of the North Wales Truck Gathering, with 100 vehicles being booked to participate.

Each participant paid to attend the convoy and money raised will be donated to Callum Percival and his family after he was diagnosed with spinal cord compression in 2018, which was found to be caused by a tumour.

Callum was rushed to Walton for surgery, which removed most of the tumour, but he was told he would likely be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

There was no suitable wheelchair adapted housing locally, but seven months later, Callum and his family were given a flat in Prestatyn.

Trucks gathered at Ruthin livestock market ahead of the 5pm convoy, which went on to the bypass, past Tesco and then along Station Road.

The convoy then turned to go up Well Street and over St Peter's Square.
