A WOMAN has been charged after officers found her drunk behind the wheel in Queensferry.

The car in question, a blue Renault Modus, was stopped on the A494 after an off-duty officer spotted the vehicle ‘swerving all over the road’ on Sunday, December 8.

Upon being pulled over by two officers in Flintshire, the female driver was found to be intoxicated, as well as holding no insurance for the car.

The officer who posted the incident on social media said that the woman was arrested and then conveyed to Llay custody.

The 59-year-old has since been charged with drink driving and no insurance.

She provided a custody reading of 83mg of alcohol in her breath, the legal limit being 35mg.
