AN industrial unit could be demolished in Orford to make way for a new row of terraced homes.
Plans have been submitted to pull down the building on Houghton Street off Orford Lane.
Developers then want to build four terraced homes on the site of what is currently known as Acorn House.
It is currently home to a children’s nursery suppliers known as Little Acorns.
In plans submitted to Warrington Borough Council, the developers say they want to create the homes similar to others on the street built around a decade ago.
The three bedroom homes would include gardens.
The planning documents said: “The houses will be within very easy reach and walking distance from the centre of Warrington, the bus station serving all districts, Central Station and most facilities that Warrington has to offer.
“The design of the houses is proposed to be fairly similar to the fairly new houses to the west, rustic brick and grey roof tiles with PVC window and door frames.
“The demolition of the industrial unit will be beneficial to the other houses in Houghton Street, in terms of giving the houses extra light.”
The plans include eight car parking spaces and room for bike storage too.
