A DOG has now spent more than 2,000 days at a rescue centre.

A special appeal is being made by North Clwyd Animal Rescue to find Gigo a home. He is a a Staffy cross.

Gigo is said to be a favourite at the rescue centre, located between Mostyn and Trelawnyd, but has received very little interest from the public.

A spokesperson from the North Clwyd Animal Rescue said: “Gigo is an amazing boy who first arrived at the rescue in 2014 and he has been here ever since with very little interest. We can’t understand why.

“He is such a wonderful boy who has got so much energy and is sure to be a friend for life.

“He would love an active home with adults only and no other animals. We are unsure of Gigo’s past but it is clear that it wasn’t a very nice one.

“Gigo needs a home with people who have had experience with the breed, or similar and are willing to work on his nervousness around other dogs."

“He can be a little unsure of new people sometimes so this is something that would need consistent training too.

“We would all love to see him in a home.”
