AN ANNUAL scheme which sees real Christmas trees recycled to raise cash for St Kentigern Hospice will soon get underway.

Bodelwyddan based Thorncliffe will join other groups from around the area to support the St Asaph based hospice, as well as other causes.

This is the fourth year the scheme has run.

In exchange for a donation, the public can book their Christmas tree to be collected.

Tim Harper, managing director at Thorncliffe, said: “Thorncliffe are thrilled to be a part of this great initiative by the hospice, we understand the hard work the team at St Kentigern do all year round to raise their much needed funds.

“We hope that by assisting in the tree collection service they can really maximise the funds that will be raised.

“Supporting local charities such as this is something Thorncliffe always endeavour to do, we wish the hospice every success with the project this Christmas.”

Trees will be put to good use by the Welsh Mountain Zoo. They will also help support farming and land management.

St Kentigern is being supported by volunteers from Abergele Round Table, Rotary Club of Denbigh, Rotary Club of Flint and Holywell, Rotary Club of Prestatyn, Rotary Club of Rhyl, SP Energy Networks, Woods Motorcycles, Wynne Construction as well as Thorncliffe.
