BLWYDDYN Newydd Dda from everyone at Maes Tegid!

2020 is finally here and the Lakesiders have two games remaining before the mid-season split at the end of January, with a trip to Cardiff Met this weekend and then Cefn Druids at home next Saturday.

Currently third in the JD Cymru Premier table, Town have come through November and December virtually unscathed with a fantastic run of results which has seen them win comprehensively against Newtown, Aberystwyth, Airbus, Carmarthen, Penybont and two brilliant wins against Caernarfon over the Christmas period.

The Lakesiders have already secured their spot in the Championship Conference for the second half of the season, with a new set of fixtures due out very soon.

Due to this impressive run, Colin Caton has won manager of the month, Louis Robles has won player of the month and striker Chris Venables, who has netted 18 goals to date this season, also picked up goal of the month.

January always brings excitement to our supporters as the transfer window opens.

Goalkeeper Ashley Morris has joined Penybont until the end of the season.

We have numerous sponsorship opportunities at Maes Tegid.

From match and ball sponsorship for all first team fixtures to advertising boards around the pitch that are seen my hundreds of 3G users and the Sgorio viewers, our commercial director Arwel Lloyd Jones (armarno9@btinternet.com) would love to hear from any businesses / companies who would like to get involved with the Lakesiders.

Our sponsors are the lifeblood of this club and their support cannot be underestimated in terms of how the club continues to be a driving force in Welsh football.

Our reserve side has had a frustrating time of late, with fixture postponements due to waterlogged pitches and referee shortages.

Their fixtures for January have been released by the WNL, with Airbus (h) on January 11, Ruthin Development (a) on January 18 and Cefn Mawr Rangers (a) on January 25 coming up.

The reserves partnered up with local side Llanuwchllyn just after Christmas for a charity game to raise money for Town midfielder Danny Gosset, who is undergoing cancer treatment, with £729 raised in total.

Maes Tegid has been busy with various community activities, from our five-a-side league, over-35s' football and birthday parties taking place.

Due to the weather, pitch hire has been very popular, with Corwen, Ruthin, Llanuwchllyn, Porthmadog, Bala Juniors and NEWFA taking up training sessions and match slots over the winter period.

Why not take advantage and hire the pitch for as little as £25?
