ON behalf of the organisers of the St Thomas' Church Christmas Day lunch, I would like this to be an open letter to all the people of Denbigh and district.
We were overwhelmed by their generosity.
Almost daily we were given monetary gifts, parcels of chocolates, vegetables, biscuits, everything that we needed to successfully arrange a Christmas Day lunch, which was enjoyed by so many people who would normally have been on their own.
Our thanks also go to the army of volunteers who gave up their time to peel the veg, lay the tables, deliver meals to those who couldn't make it to the hall, and to those who cooked, waiter tables and provided transport for those who needed it.
We all had a wonderful day to remember.
