IT'S hoped a new sweeper will make the streets of Rhyl look cleaner.
The new Hako Sweeper has been jointly funded by Rhyl Business Improvement District (BID) and Denbighshire County Council.
It features a wet attachment which will provide a more powerful clean.
Abigail Pilling, Rhyl BID manager, said: “The town’s streetscene has been identified as an area for improvement by residents and visitors alike.
“Rhyl’s streetscape is a primary focus for Rhyl BID as we work to enhance the shopper experience in our town. In partnership with the Council we are delighted with the introduction of the new and upgraded street sweeper which will give our streets a fresher look.
“We appreciate the partnership we have with the Council in delivering such initiatives.”
Brian Jones, the Council’s lead member for Waste, Transport and the Environment, said: “This enhanced street sweeper will improve the look of Rhyl’s streets."
