PADDINGTON'S Postcards have bought joy and knowledge to the nursery children in the Dee Valley.
Last September, Corwen Day Nursery added UNICEF to its list of charities that it supports by purchasing Paddington’s Postcards.
Since then, the children have received a postcard from Paddington from a different country, telling them about what life is like for the children living in that country.
Corwen Day Nursery owner Carmen Roberts Davenport said: “The children look forward to receiving their postcards in the post, and this is great way for our children to learn about the world and by supporting UNICEF we are helping children around the world and are giving them hope for the future.”
To date, the children have received postcards from Jordan, Ivory Coast, Bangladesh, Mongolia and London.
Gethin, aged six and who attends both the holiday club and the after-school club at Corwen Day Nursery, said: "The schools in Mongolia are in tents and they are called gers.”
