TWO neighbours in Llangollen are celebrating today after winning £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.
The Glanffrwd Terrace residents netted the windfall when LL20 7HL was revealed as a winner of the People’s Postcode Lottery’s daily prize on Wednesday, February 12.
A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities with more than £500 million raised to date.
The February 12 draw was promoted by Maggie’s, the network of cancer support centres in the UK which provide social and emotional support and advice for people diagnosed with cancer.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt said: “I’m so happy for our winners today! I hope they go and treat themselves with their winnings.”
Many good causes close to the winners have also benefitted from players’ support, and local charities can apply for funding now.
