St Brigid's School
RELIGIOUS studies students from class 10C and the head girl at Denbigh's St Brigid's School Olivia Carrier were recently invited to attend the open day at St Kentigern Hospice.
While at the open day, the St Brigid's contingent met fundraising administrator Wendy Clark, the hospice lottery manager, a psychotherapist, a volunteer counsellor, a nurse and a nurse practitioner to discuss the benefits of palliative care.
The group was very interested in the holistic approach to care, as well as the need to rely fully on fundraising.
They found the decor colourful, uplifting and peaceful, and two of the students are now keen to do voluntary work at St Kentigern Hospice in the future.
