PRE school children have taken part in St Valentine’s themed activities as part of their continuing work at a Colwyn Bay care home.

The enthusiastic group from Rydal Penrhos school paid another visit to Merton Place care home, Colwyn Bay, which is part of the community outreach programme of the pre school department.

There were a host of activities for the children to take part in during their latest visit, which included making Valentine’s hearts with residents and singing some well known songs and nursery rhymes.

They also spend considerable time chatting with staff and those living at the facility, in addition to playing with toys to round off another worthwhile trip.

Pre school department head Louise Roberts, said: “Our children always look forward to their visits to Merton Place, which have proven to be mutually beneficial for pre school and residents alike.

“They have a great deal of fun conversing with residents, finding out more about their lives and discussing what they get up during their time at Rydal Penrhos.

“Hopefully this is something that can continue long into the future and I would like to thank everyone at Merton Place for always making us feel so welcome.”

Rydal Penrhos school accepts children from the age of two.
