AS rain continues to fall in the region, there are a number of flood alerts in place this morning.

The most recent alert to be issues is for Bangor on Dee, near Wrexham.

A flood alert is in place for Bala, covering parts of the town, including the leisure centre, Tegid Street and the High Street.

Meanwhile, there is also an alert for Trefriw.

This covers parts of the village from Penial Bridge towards Gwydir Lodges and along the B5106 to the north of the village.

There is a flood alert in place for Conwy Valley communities.

Properties in the villages of Dolgarrog, Tal y Bont, Tal y Cafn, Maenan and Betws y Coed are covered by this.

Earlier this morning, a flood alert was issued for the Elwy and Gele catchment.

This is for areas around the River Elwy and River Gele, from Gwytherin to St Asaph and including Abergele.

Also in place is a flood alert for the Clwyd catchment, looking at areas around the River Clwyd from Clocaenog to Rhuddlan.

Since last night, a flood alert has been in place at Llanrwst.

This covers parts of the town, including Station Road, Conwy Terrace, Perthi, Cae Person and Parc yr Eryr.

A further alert is there for the Conwy catchment, for areas around the River Conwy from Dolwyddelan to Conwy.

In addition, there is a flood alert for the Upper Dee Valley from Llanuwchllyn to Llangollen, including Corwen.

This looks at isolated properties and extensive areas of agricultural land in the Upper Dee flood plain.
