A BALA Town figure has resigned from his post.

The Lakesiders have announced that Andy Kelly has resigned his position of 3G administrator due to his acceptance of a new employment offer in Chester.

Kelly will be continuing his administrative and coaching roll within Bala Town's Academy for the foreseeable future.

A Bala Town statement said: "The club wishes to place on record its sincere thanks to Andy, who has been employed by the club since September 2016, for his outstanding work in setting up and running the new 3G facility, which was inaugurated at the time of his employment.

"We are indebted to Andy for his enthusiasm and dedication whilst setting up procedures and processes for this new project and for its continued success over the last three-and-a-half years.

"Andy will remain an important and influential member of the club whilst handing over his official responsibilities for the operational activity on the 3G.

"We wish Andy the very best of luck for the future in his new employment and once again emphasise our gratitude for his very hard work in setting up the organisation of the 3G facility."

The Lakesiders have moved to appoint a new 3G administrator.

Gill Evans will be taking over all 3G enquiries and bookings.
