A LARGE amount of cannabis plants have been recovered at an address on the Conwy-Denbighshire border.

A warrant was executed at an isolated property at a rural location outside Llannefydd.

During the search on Monday, March 9, officers found a sophisticated cannabis grow and a large amount of associated equipment, which was recovered from within the building.

A 27-year old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and is currently in police custody assisting with the ongoing investigation.

District Inspector Andrew Kirkham said: “This serves to remind members of the public to be aware that properties in all areas can be targeted by criminals to utilise the buildings for the production of cannabis.”

“I would like to thank the public for sharing their concerns and would urge anyone with similar concerns to provide us with the information.

Denbighshire Free Press:

"I would like to reassure the public that we will take positive action against those engaged in any organised criminal activity.”
