THE Llangollen Eisteddfod has cancelled a fundraiser due to be held at the end of March.
Organisers of the Eisteddfod said last week that they "fully intend" the festival will take place in July despite concerns over the spread of coronavirus.
Thousands of people travel from across the world to attend and perform at celebration of international culture every year.
But the Cymanfa Ganu fundraiser set to take place at St Collen's Church, Llangollen on March 27 has been cancelled.
It comes after the Urdd Eisteddfod expected to be held in Denbigh in May, was postponed until 2021.
"We have been monitoring developments around Coronavirus (COVID-19) and have come to the decision to cancel our scheduled Cymanfa Ganu in St Collen’s Church," a Llangollen Eisteddfod spokesperson said.
"Customers who had already purchased tickets for the Cymanfa Ganu will be refunded.
"Please be assured that we will continue to monitor and communicate with you about our plans for Llangollen 2020 in July as the situation develops."
