A POP-UP shop that opened its doors in the Vale of Clwyd had to close on its first day.

Members of Soroptimist International Denbigh, Ruthin and District opened a pop-up charity shop in St Peter's Square, Ruthin by kind permission of Ann Roberts.

However, the shop was forced to close its doors later that day.

Every precaution had been taken in line with the government guidelines, with the shop being sanitised and latex gloves being available for shoppers to use.

However, during the day, the current Coronavirus situation became even more threatening.

Mindful of health and safety towards the members and the frequent shoppers, a decision was taken to close the shop.

The Soroptimists' team would like to thank all who contributed by means of donations or purchases, for their excellent support.

All money raised will go to local charities as advertised.
