PEOPLE living with pain during the pandemic can still receive support.

The chiropractors at Back Doctor Chiropractic Clinic in St Asaph are offering free of charge Telehealth appointments for people affected by back, neck, joint or muscle pain during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Chiropractors are Primary Care Practitioners who are well placed to alleviate some of the strain currently being placed on the NHS by offering advice and guidance to patients affected by musculoskeletal conditions who may otherwise have tried to see their GP or attended A&E.

Stephen Massey, Chiropractor and clinical director of Back Doctor Clinics said: “As our clinics are closed due to the lockdown, we have time on our hands and we want to do our bit to contribute.

“During a Telehealth consultation, we take a thorough case history, talk through the likely cause for someone’s pain or problem, and provide self-help advice, reassurance and home exercise videos which patients can download onto their mobile phones, tablets or laptops, to help speed their recovery.”

The new Telehealth service is offered to new and existing patients, and these appointments take place via a secure Telehealth system, maintaining social distancing whilst still providing vital support to people in need who may otherwise struggle to access care.

Mr Massey added:”We are pleased to be able to support the NHS and ease pressure on local GP’s and A&E services by offering these appointments free of charge.

“We are proud to be actively working to support our community and protect the NHS during this time of crisis.”
