A NEW Costa drive-thru in Bodelwyddan is to re-open on Saturday.

The Costa , located at junction 25 off the A55, opened very briefly in March but then shut due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The store, one of the few stores in the country selected to re-open, will only serve NHS staff and key workers at this time.

A post on the Costa Bodelwyddan DT Facebook page said: "As we are located close to the local hospital we have been lucky enough to be one of the few stores in the country chosen to re-open our drive thru lane allowing us to serve our NHS heroes and key workers.

"We will only be accepting contactless payments and it will be vehicles only on the drive thru lane - no bikes or pedestrians."

From May 2, trading hours will be 8am until 4pm on Monday to Sunday and all drinks will be available as well as a limited food menu.

All staff will be adhering to social distancing rules and wearing appropriate PPE.

The Facebook statement added: "Unfortunately, due to the current circumstances, we will be unable to accept the Costa Club Cards and we won’t be able to offer any discounts.

"The outside seating area will be closed until further notice.

"We would appreciate it if people don’t leave their cars at any point."
