RURAL Crime Team officers have slammed those responsible for causing 'substantial damage' by illegally digging on a hillside to create a bike track in Denbighshire.
On Monday, officers went to Foel Fodiar near Henllan to investigate the damage done over the last two weeks.
They say illegal digging has taken place in order to create a bike track down the side of the hill.
A spokesperson said:"Incredible isn't it that we are in a health crisis and some take advantage."
PC Rob Taylor added: "When the country is pulling together to beat a pandemic, some see it as a time to ignore rules and destroy a habitat.
"We have recovered an amount of tools, which we will be analysing and we have a car reg number so someone can expect a visit soon."
