A VIRTUAL parade was held in Llanidloes to mark 75 years since Victory in Europe – VE Day.
At 11am on May 8, Trudy Davies dipped the Royal British Legion Llanidloes Women’s Section standard alongside her son Matthew who dipped the ACF flag.
The virtual parade was later watched by millions of The One Show viewers, and can also be watched on YouTube.
Ms Davies, a standard bearer for 39 years, said: “It was strange not being at the district war memorial for this event, but current restrictions mean we were unable to carry out the many plans we had in place, which we would have liked to have done.”
Twenty-three poppy crosses were laid in memory of local soldiers at the Millennium Garden.
