Llanidloes children had a roar-some time after being rewarded with gifts for their good behaviour during the lockdown.

The ‘Llanisaurus’, a tyrannosaurus rex-suited fundraiser, was spotted on Sunday (May 17) delivering more than 160 toys that were donated by local businesses.

It was the idea of Victoria Chapman who was dressed as a dinosaur while Trudy Davies of Woosnam & Davies and Bex Jones of X-angelus studio delivered a trolley-full of toys for local boys and girls.

Residents also helped raise £167.18 for the Llani Pantri food bank and ‘Cup for Heroes’ project led by Woosnam & Davies.

After announcing the total raised for local good causes, Victoria said on Facebook: “Well done, Llani. What a little town with a big heart!”

While X-angelus studio said: “We were super proud to be able to partially sponsor this incredible feat by donating gifts and Bex loved playing dino’s Santa helper. Thanks Trudy and Vicky for your incredible community spirit”.
