WREXHAM police officers have spoken of heir satisfaction after taking a large quantity of weapons of our streets.
The weapons were recovered by two police officers after they stopped a man carrying a holdall in the town centre at the weekend.
Items recovered included knives, knuckledusters, batons, and, perhaps most disturbing, a number of taser-type weapons disguised as torches.
Such electric discharge weapons and stun guns are classed as firearms in the UK and are illegal to possess.

The man was stopped and detained by PC Erin Hulley and PC Rob Morris after information was received from a member of the public.
PC Hulley said: "Especially in light of what is going on at the moment we are happy to have taken these weapons off the streets."
Sgt Nathan Harvey, who was the sergeant on duty, added: "This goes to show that as well as policing covid regulations, officers in Wrexham are still committed to their core duties of keeping people and the community safe. Taking these weapons off the streets has done that.
"It was great police work by the officers."
Police said a man has been arrested and enquiries were continuing.
