A RESCUE team was called to the Machynlleth area after a person became ill on a walk.
The Brecon Mountain Rescue Team received the call-out on Wednesday, but thanks to the actions of a local farmer, they were able to be stood down.
A spokesman for the team said: "Yesterday a small team responded to a call in Machynlleth area whilst the rest of the team remained on standby, to assist the ambulance service with the extraction of a casualty who became unwell whilst on a local walk.
"Whilst on route, the team were stood down as fortunately a local farmer with an ATV (all terrain vehicle) assisted the extraction.
"We wish the casualty a speedy recovery."
