BEAUMARIS RNLI volunteers were called out to assist with an object in the Menai Strait - which turned out to be a dead seal.
Crew members received a request from the U.K Coastguard and lifeboat Annette Mary Liddington launched at 6.39pm on Saturday.
It proceeded to an area between Friars Bay and Penmon sound; in the meantime the Mobile Coastguard Rescue Team from Penmon had arrived on the shoreline.
The lifeboat soon identified the object as a deceased seal and on the instructions of the U. K Coastguard no further action was required and the lifeboat could return to the lifeboat station.
A spokesperson for Beaumaris RNLI said: "The open inflatable inshore lifeboat with her volunteer crew then returned to her station at Beaumaris the lifeboat at 6.55pm but as the crew then had to undertake a thorough clean of the vessel and equipment due to the Corona virus pandemic.
"They did not leave the lifeboat station until after 7.30 pm."
