A DRIVER tested positive for cannabis after driving from Birmingham to Machynlleth for a "beach day".
The North Wales Police Roads Policing Unit stopped the driver on Sunday as they continue to enforce the travel restrictions during lockdown. The driver was arrested for having no licence or insurance, possession of cannabis and for testing positive for the drug.
A spokesman for North Wales Police's Roads Policing Unit said: "Stopped this vehicle near Machynlleth this afternoon.
"They had travelled from Birmingham area for a beach day. Driver arrested for having no licence or insurance, drug driving (tested positive for cannabis) and possession of cannabis. Vehicle seized. "#LongWalkHome #Covid19 #Fatal5"
