A DRIVER is in Stoke hospital with serious injuries after a crash near Abergele.

The incident happened shortly before 10am on Saturday, May 30.

North Wales Police were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the B5381 by Glascoed Road involving a silver-coloured Mercedes 320 and a white Traffic box van.

The driver of the Mercedes is currently in hospital in Stoke with serious injuries and the passenger remains in Glan Clwyd Hospital.

Both occupants of the van also sustained minor injuries.

PC Pete Doran of the Roads Police Unit said: “We are especially keen to speak with a driver of a vehicle which stopped at the scene but left a short while later without leaving any details.

"If that person was you please contact us as soon as possible.”
