Chirk Town Council has given its thanks to all of the businesses and individuals within the area for their help during the past few months.

The council was keen to give recognition to those working to help others in the town during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Despite the pandemic making life difficult for a lot of businesses, many in and around the town have been working hard to ensure the most vulnerable members of the community are well-looked-after.

Councillors also wished to thank those who have volunteered during their spare time to help others during the past few months.

A spokesman for the council said: “Chirk Town Council wants to thank all of the businesses and the individual members and community groups within Chirk and its surrounding areas.

“We would like to extend our thanks to them all for the additional work they have done – we recognise the effort they have put in.

“We would like to thank the volunteers too for everything they are doing to support our community during what has been a very difficult period.

“They have all done extremely well during the unusual times we have faced since the start of the pandemic.

“We appreciate it has been a difficult period for a lot of people and things haven’t been easy, and with that in mind, the council wishes to express its gratitude to those in the community for all they have done.”
