A MAN has been charged with offences of possession with intent to supply and production of Class B drugs.

Following the execution of warrants executed by North Wales Police in Rhyl and Henllan on June 16, Christopher Roper, 29, has been remanded to appear in court.

Two other men have been released under investigation pending further inquiries.

A female was also arrested for possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

Insp James Keene said: “We want to reassure the community that we are taking positive action. By conducting these warrants our aim is to cause disruption to the trade in illegal drugs across the area and the associated violence.”

Cllr Joan Butterfield, Rhyl West ward, said: “I would like to thank the police for actions taken across the coastal belt.

"It must be a comfort to the residents of Rhyl and of course other areas, that at this testing time the police are being so active and making a positive difference to the problem we have with drugs."

Ann Jones, AM for Vale of Clwyd, said: “I am pleased to see a successful execution of a warrant that will see drugs being removed from the streets in our communities."

James Davies, MP for Vale of Clwyd, added: “I commend Sgt Mark Jones and the Neighbourhood Policing Team for their work in tackling the scourge of illegal drugs in Rhyl, particularly during the difficult circumstances of the pandemic.”
