CHANGES to the two metre rule announced by UK government today only apply in England, Wales' First Minister has confirmed.
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on Tuesday that the two meter social distancing requirement is being reduced to one meter in England from July 4.
However, Wales' First Minister Mark Drakeford was quick to take to Twitter to state that the two meter rule remains in place in Wales to help limit the spread of the virus.
Mr Drakeford says the Welsh Government will "keep this rule under constant review", but that its focus is on "helping to save lives".
The UK Government also announced that pubs, bars, restaurants, cinemas and hairdressers will reopen across England from July - none of which apply to Wales.
