AN INQUEST has opened into the death of a laboratory technician found dead at home.
Bartosz Szczepaniak, 28, was found dead at his home on Salisbury Road in Wrexham on June 20.
At a brief hearing in Ruthin on Monday, John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales East and Central, said concerns had been raised with the police for Mr Szczepaniak's wellbeing after he hadn't shown up for work on June 20.
Upon entering his property, police found his body and a note written by Mr Szczepaniak, who had issues of anxiety and depression, suggesting an act of self-harm had been taken, the inquest heard.
The matter will move to a full inquest at a date to be fixed.
