In the evening, the children along with their parents, carers, guardians and siblings participated in a campfire where they sang several songs, with some of them being led by the children.

Mother Miranda Lambourne said: “Thank you so much to all involved, you did a wonderful job delivering a very creative, interactive and memorable virtual shipwreck camp.

One of the children said: “I really enjoyed camp and didn’t want to be rescued - I wanted to spend camp another night camping!”

Lead Volunteer for Buckinghamshire Scouts, James Palin, said: “It was really nice to see Cubs, parents, carers and siblings participating in the whole weekend.

“It’s been awesome seeing so many people helping out building dens, making boats, cooking cakes and so much more.

“Thanks to all of the adults for organising and running the weekend and to the parents and carers who encouraged their children to join in.

"I’m sure everyone had a brilliant time.”
