In presenting the bowl to Mr Smith, Cllr Valerie Brownridge of Little Marlow Parish Council said: “Mr Smith has painstakingly built a nationally renowned collection of scale models of Royal Coaches over many years which he has displayed and talked about both locally and nationally, giving a great deal of enjoyment to people, while at the same time raising funds for a number of charities.

"Mr Smith regularly displays his wonderful royal collection at the Strawberry Tea held annually to raise funds for the Home Farm Trust, a charity which supports people with learning difficulties, and at the Little Marlow Village Fete, where it has become a popular and much-loved attraction and has thus helped the fete to raise funds for local charities and organisations.

“Peter is also a very active fundraiser for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.”

Mr Smith was going to receive the award at Little Marlow’s Annual Parish Meeting on May 15, but this was postponed due to the on going pandemic.

He then received the prize in June.

The award is named after Geoffrey Moss, who was a former county councillor and Chairman of Little Marlow Parish Council between 1975 and 1980.
