WREXHAM has a new police officer making a difference in its communities.

Emma Roden is the latest Police and Community Support Officer to join the neighbourhood policing team.

Emma said: "I joined North Wales Police as a Police Community Support Officer because I have always had an interest in the police and the thought of being able to help the local communities and hopefully make a difference.

"My tutor is Sara William's PCSO 3670, she is an experienced PCSO in the Wrexham area so looking forward to learning from her while on foot patrol in the Offa area in Wrexham.

"I am looking forward to working for North Wales Police as it will be a new challenge for myself and looking forward to something different each day."

Emma started working in Wrexham on July 1 having joined North Wales Police on May 4.

Sgt Matt Subacchi said: "Emma is one of our new probationers who joins with PCSO Jon Massie.

"PCSOs are a vital aspect of neighbourhood policing and our ability to work in partnership with local agencies, councillors and community leaders.

"I’m sure all of our new PCSO’s including Emma and Jon will have a bright future working for North Wales Police."
