CHESHIRE Police have confirmed that a family's missing dog has been found safe and well.
The dog went missing from a property in Widnes between 12 midnight on Tuesday, July 8 and 8.30am on Wednesday, July 9.
A statement from the force said: "The dog has now been located safe and well and returned to his owners."
In a further update on Monday, July 13, Cheshire Police said that following further enquiries "it is no longer believed that the dog was stolen/a burglary took place".
