A PROPERTY in Denbigh connected with antisocial behaviour has been closed for 24 hours.
Following persistent reports of disorder and antisocial behaviour at and in the vicinity of a property on Henllan Street, a closure notice was imposed on Wednesday, July 15 from 6pm for 24-hours preventing anyone other than the tenant from being present.
Sgt Peter Evans, of North Wales Police, said: “We would like to thank the community for assisting with enquiries, as a result of which a closure notice has been served on an address believed to be where the disorder stemmed from.
“The closure notice is a short term measure to afford other residents some respite from the behaviour they have been subjected to. It also allows the occupants themselves to seek help if required and consider what the future more stringent consequences could be if this behaviour continues.
“This step has been taken and will lead to more long term solutions if the situation does not improve. People who persistently bring misery on their neighbourhoods should know that we will work with other organisations to enforce and use a wide range of legislation to prevent crime and antisocial behaviour.”
Anyone with information relating to antisocial behaviour or criminality is asked to telephone 101.
