A WREXHAM woman was found strangled by leads being pulled on by two dogs, an inquest heard.
Deborah Mary Roberts, 47, of Ffordd Mon in Rhosddu, died on July 8 near Southleigh Drive in the Garden Village area of Wrexham.
At a brief hearing in Ruthin opening an inquest into her death, John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales East and Central, said that two men were working on an address on Southleigh Drive when a young girl ran up to them and said her friend was choking.
When they went to a grassed area behind Southleigh Drive they saw Ms Roberts lying face down on the grass with dog leads around her neck which were being pulled on by two dogs.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, Ms Roberts, a warehouse worker, was pronounced dead the scene.
A subsequent post mortem determined the provisional cause of death as asphyxia due to strangulation.
The matter will however move to a full inquest at a date to be fixed.
