A WREXHAM man at the centre of a murder investigation was found dead under his duvet at home with a serious head injury, an inquest heard.
Terence Edwards, 60, was found dead at his home on Pont Wen in the Caia Park area of Wrexham on June 1.
At a brief hearing in Ruthin opening an inquest into Mr Edwards' death, John Gittins, senior coroner for North Wales East and Central said he was found lying on his back in his bed under a duvet.
A post-mortem examination by Home Office pathologist gave a provisional cause of Mr Edward's death as "severe blunt force head injury."
Mr Gittins said inquiries by police are ongoing and "they have made a number of requests for information which they need to identify the person or people responsible" for Mr Edwards' death.
A full inquest into Mr Edwards' death has been adjourned pending the outcome of the police investigation.
Three weeks ago a 41-year-old man from Wrexham was arrested on suspicion of Mr Edward's murder but was subsequently released pending further enquiries.
Crimestoppers has offered a reward of £10,000 for information to help in the investigation and police have said the key to solving the case lies within the Caia Park community .
