MORE than 298,000 people across the UK have tested positive for coronavirus, health chiefs have said.
The Department of Health and Social Care has confirmed that as of 9am July 25, at total of 298,681 people have tested positive for the virus.
On July 17, the Secretary of State asked Public Health England (PHE) to urgently review the way daily death statistics are currently reported.
The Department of Health and Social Care confirmed it was pausing the publication of the daily figure while this review takes place.
As of July 25, this data remained unavailable.
