NORTH EAST Wales Search and Rescure volunteers assisted a rock climber who had taken a big fall and sustained significant injuries in Denbighshire.
On Sunday afternoon, the team received a request fro assistance from North Wales Police to deal with the incident which took place near Llangollen.
Team members attended alongside Wales Air Ambulance Charity, Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency helicopter from Caernarfon.

The injured climber was assisted by some other climbers who did volunteers say did an 'outstanding job' of initially stabilising the casualty before they could arrive on the scene.
A spokesperson for North East Wales Search and Rescue said: "One of our team members happened to be passing and also assisted in the early stages.
"The rest of our team members were involved in carrying the injured climber to the Air Ambulance. Thanks to the local person who provided refreshments to team members after their hot work in full PPE and best wishes to the climber."
