A PERSON was taken to hospital following a "medical emergency" in Ruthin on Tuesday morning.

The Welsh Ambulance Service said it was called to the incident at Cae Ddol at about 11.30am on Tuesday, September 1. It sent an advanced paramedic practitioner and an emergency ambulance.

A Wales Air Ambulance helicopter also arrived at the scene.

The person was taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital to receive further treatment, a Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said.

"We were called to reports of a medical emergency in the Ruthin area this morning, Tuesday, September 1 at approximately 11.36am," the spokesperson said.

"We responded with an advanced paramedic practitioner, an emergency ambulance and the Wales Air Ambulance.

"One patient was taken by road to Glan Clwyd Hospital for further treatment."
